“Enchanting Christmas magic in Knokke-Heist: An Atmospheric Christmas Lights”
From 1 December to 7 January, Knokke will once again be bathed in a sea of fairy lights with a
Scandinavian touch. Thanks to no fewer than 2 million Christmas lights, Knokke will once again shine
during the end-of-year period.
Come and discover this magical Christmas atmosphere and stroll along the beautifully lit streets and
squares. Many enchanting surprises will come your way: shining stars and dancing snowflakes,
enchanting deer, imposing polar bears, a winter forest with the animals of the High North, an
impressive moose parade, … Via this link you will find an overview of all the Christmas decorations to
be admired. For children, you can also pick up a fun fairy tale walk at the Tourist Office. This route is 2
kilometres long and immediately takes you past all the highlights of this beautiful light show.
Do you like it a bit more active? Then don’t miss the cosy indoor skating rink on Alfred Verweeplein.
Not only can you enjoy the ice rink to your heart’s content. There are also delicious snacks and drinks
as well as a fun fair for the little ones.
Aher all that exertion, visit the cosy winter bar Ice Bar on Van Bunnenplein. During the day, you can
enjoy a fine winter chalet atmosphere. In the evening, you are immersed in a great après-ski
atmosphere. Conviviality rules!
Or just come and shop in a magical Christmas atmosphere. Thanks to the beautifully lit streets and
squares, shopping in the city centre is even more unique! On Sundays too, there is plenty of shopping
in the many gifts, food and fashion shops. In addition, the traders in the Graaf d’Ursellaan (on 15
December from 5 to 8.30 p.m.) and Dumor;erlaan (on 29 December from 4 to 9 p.m.) will be offering
late-night shopping during the winter period to pamper you even more. In doing so, also let the
Shopping ShuIle transport you for free between the various major shopping streets. A ride in this
trendy city shuIle is a fun experience in itself!
