  • Exhibition

Upon arrival, you will receive a boarding pass which you will need to enter the ‘international airport for birds’. At the entrance to the exhibition, you will be assigned a Zwin migratory bird at check-in. With this character in hand, you walk through the interactive exhibition. Discover how the life of a bird is full of adventure and surprises!

  • Cabin trail

The hut trail is a 1.7-kilometre walk through the Zwin Nature Park past experience points and themed huts. Suitable for prams and wheelchairs, each hut has its own function. In the lab hut, you study microscopic Zwin life, in the forest hut you listen to fascinating stories, in the jetty hut you come face to face with water birds, and in the listening hut you learn to recognise different bird sounds.

  • The Zwinvlakte

Several walking routes traverse the Zwinvlakte. Combining the green and blue loop, walk through mudflats and salt marshes that live to the rhythm of ebb and flow. Each season offers different sightings, and the Zwinvlakte is a true bird paradise. The blue loop can even serve as a barefoot path, ideal for family activities. Look out for the red flag in stormy weather or spring tides; then the covered viewing centre offers a great view of the spectacle.

  • Stork tower

In the Zwin Nature Park, the stork is the proud mascot. Between February and the end of July, this graceful migratory bird takes up residence in the park and nests high above the ground. The stork tower offers you the unique opportunity to get at eye level with these majestic birds. While you go unnoticed, you can witness their activities up close. Every year, the stork chicks are fitted with rings, and since 2019, storks are even equipped with transmitters, allowing their adventures to be closely monitored.

  • Panorama Tower

The panorama tower on the roof terrace of the visitor centre is an absolute eye-catcher. Here you can fully enjoy an enchanting view of the Kleyne Vlakte, the Zwin dunes and polders, and the vast sea. It offers a unique experience with breathtaking views.
